pole position 1:10.810
track length 3.337 km
average speed: 169.65 km/h
We’re not even allowed to do those speeds on the highway in my damn country, let alone while darting around on narrow city streets.

It’ll take something interesting to change the RIC-VET-HAM podium that’s planned for tomorrow.

I’m worried about Max since he’s not going to want to stay behind for very long and pretty much every pass on this track is going to be a dangerous one.

im just wondering who else wont because of him

PG qualified 10th. I’m fine with that.

Pole status, sent!
Now the question is how much of a crashtacular disaster is the back of the field going to be?

Definitely not bad for the Toro Rosso. Also great to see Ocon and Alonso take best of the rest behind Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes.

My other discussion on this same post pretty much sums up my feelings about the back of the grid:

He’ll start his forward fight with Magnussen so maybe they’ll just take each other out.

I might actually brave enough to wear my STR hoodie tomorrow.

In FP3 the Toro Rossos were the best of the rest. Very encouraging for a couple of rookies.

I need to buy some STR merchandise, preferably something with the Honda logo. Problem is their store won’t ship to the US so I have to go through eBay.

I ordered this year’s stuff from Grand Prix Fan shop (UK). Got here in less than a week and it was really reasonable.

You could try the official F1 store, I’m sure they’ll ship to the US (since they ship to Canada, which means they should ship most places) and they have Toro Rosso gear on there, too.
I just regret not buying McLaren-Honda merchandise when they were having their fire sale at the end of season.

The stocking cap is indeed very reasonable, under $30 with shipping. I got rid of my McLaren stocking cap after last year. I’d had it since the glory days of the Vodafone sponsorship.

They were out of the thing I want the most, the stocking cap. I’d had a McLaren stocking cap that I owned for close to a decade (it even said Vodafone on it) but I threw it out as part of my renunciation of being a fan of them. I obviously am taking Honda’s side.
